Calling all young artists to embark on a creative journey with our exciting and educational art class Art for Kidz! This dynamic program is designed to introduce kids to the wonders of artistic expression, exploring various subjects like landscapes, figures, and animals. Art for Kidz goes beyond just creating pretty pictures. We teach the core principles of drawing, providing a structured approach that enhances your child's skills and confidence. We offer a diverse range of artistic subjects, allowing children to delve into the fascinating realms art using different artistic mediums. Each class presents a core artistic principal and opportunity for discovery and expression.
Art for Kidz focuses on proper art education, ensuring that your child learns the right techniques from the start to build a strong foundation, setting them on a path for continued artistic growth in the art world. January 18, 2024
Theme: Wildlife of Colorado. This class will focus on using colored pencils to draw and color a selected animal native to Colorado.
Core principal: Contour drawing
February 22, 2024
Theme: Winter Trees. This class will focus on using colored pencils to draw and color winter trees without their leaves. This is a great opportunity to learn about line and negative spaces.
Core principal: Negative spaces
Times
Time: Thursdays, 4 - 5pm (3:30 - 4pm is the drop-off period for orientation and warm-ups)
Drop-Off & Orientation: 3:30-4pm (we will be doing into’s and warmups during this period)
