Vision may start with the eyes, but that is only the first step. My goal in creating works for the Vision exhibition was to first have the viewer see the painting, but then truly SEE the painting, as only they can. Vision is not just gazing on an object, but it is a forward-thinking process, an encompassing feeling. This feeling is as varied as those who will see these paintings. I hope that upon first seeing these paintings, the viewer decides what they envision in a secondary way. I hope this will be a two-step process, and one that takes the viewer from first sight, to a deeper vision.
