Life's So Green

Once again summer will be upon us. Every year we experience the infusion of new life with this season. Imagine the complexity of life, the beauty all around us, the energy of 'Green'. How can your art capture the greenness and goodness of life and our wondrous planet? How do you experience the Spring and Summer seasons? Think bold, think fresh, think new life, think green!

On one of my first trips to Seattle, a place known for lots of rain, I was surprised to see green plant life growing directly on the concrete, sides of bricks and buildings! Life had taken root and grows wherever there is an opportunity. The explosion of life that comes in Spring and the Summer seasons invigorates the senses and is utterly beautiful.

We are looking for all types of works--painting, sculpture, photography and more--works that express the life and feeling of green. Will you submit a painting, yarn woven into a sculptural form, or a piece of sod arranged in some way?... The main criteria for selection is creativity and fresh approaches in the artwork.
